Cake in Space
Final Design
The Deep Dive
In-depth research was conducted, focusing on design trends used by other collectives, along with emerging aesthetics in film and television animation, where Cake in Space has extensive collaborations. The process began with a focus on the logo and brand mark, created using Adobe Illustrator and refined through multiple iterations with client feedback. The site was wireframed and prototyped using Figma, while additional graphics were crafted in Adobe Photoshop.
A cohesive animation system was developed using a specialized JavaScript graphics library to enhance the site's visual identity. The final design was built in Framer, combining Framer’s built-in tools with custom CSS and React for added flexibility and interactivity. A clear call to action was integrated through a messaging form, making it easy for future clients to contact Cake in Space. This holistic approach ensured that the site not only tells the collective's story but also offers a visually engaging and seamless user experience.
